【摘要】:Mostthermalanalysisexperimentsarecarriedoutundertemperaturerampconditionswheretemperatureistheindependentparameter.Someexperiments,however,arecarriedoutunderisothermaltemperatureconditionswheretheelapsedtimetoaneventismeasuredastheindependentparameter.IsothermalKinetics(TestMethodsE2070),ThermalStability(TestMethodE487),OxidativeInductionTime(OIT)(TestMethodsD3895,D4565,D5483,E1858,andSpecificationD3350andLoss-on-Drying(TestMethodE1868)arecommonexamplesofthesekindsofexperiments.Modernscientificinstruments,includingthermalanalyzers,usuallymeasureelapsedtimewithexcellentprecisionandaccuracy.Insuchcases,itmayonlybenecessarytoconfirmtheperformanceoftheinstrumentbycomparisontoasuitablereference.Onlyrarelywillitmayberequiredtocorrectthecalibrationofaninstrumentrsquo;elapsedtimesignalthroughtheuseofacalibrationfactor.Itisnecessarytoobtainelapsedtimesignalconformityonlyto0.1timestherepeatabilityrelativestandarddeviation(standarddeviationdividedbythemeanvalue)expressedasapercentforthetestmethodinwhichthethermalanalyzeristobeused.ForthosetestmethodslistedinSection2thisconformityis0.1%.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthecalibrationorperformanceconfirmationoftheelapsed-timesignalfromthermalanalyzers.1.2SIunitsarethestandard.1.3ThereisnoISOstandardequivalenttothismethod.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
