【摘要】:1.1Thisclassificationcoversallunusedfullyformulatedhydraulicfluidsintheiroriginalform.1.2Thisclassificationestablishescategoriesfortheimpactofhydraulicfluidsondifferentenvironmentalcompartmentsasshownin.Fluidsareassigneddesignationswithinthesecategories;forexamplePwL,Pwe,andsoforth,basedonperformanceinspecifiedtests.1.3Inthecurrentversionofthisclassificationtheaspectsofenvironmentalimpactincludedareenvironmentalpersistenceofwhichbiodegradabilityisonecomponentandacuteecotoxicity.Althoughenvironmentalpersistenceisdiscussedfirst,thisclassificationdoesnotimplythatconsiderationsofenvironmentalpersistenceshouldtakeprecedenceoverconcernsforecotoxicity.1.4Anotherimportantaspectofenvironmentalimpactisbioaccumulation.Thisaspectisnotaddressedinthepresentclassificationbecauseadequatetestmethodsdonotyetexisttomeasurebioaccumulationofhydraulicfluids.1.5Thepresentclassificationaddressesthefreshwaterandsoilenvironmentalcompartments.Atthistimemarineandanaerobicenvironmentalcompartmentsarenotincluded,althoughtheyarepertinentformanyusesofhydraulicfluids.Hydraulicfluidsareexpectedtohavenosignificantimpactontheatmosphere;thereforethatcompartmentisnotaddressed.1.6Thisclassificationaddressesreleasestotheenvironmentwhichareincidentaltotheuseofahydraulicfluid.Theclassificationisnotintendedtoaddressenvironmentalimpactinsituationsofmajor,accidentalrelease.Nothinginthisclassificationshouldbetakentorelievetheuseroftheresponsibilitytoproperlyuseanddisposeofhydraulicfluids.1.7Thisclassificationdoesnotcoveranyperformancepropertiesofahydraulicfluidwhichrelatetoitsperformanceinahydraulicsystem.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
