【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesmethodsforthedeterminationofiodineadsorptionnumberofcarbonblacksforuseintherubberindustry.Twotitrationmethodsaredescribed:?methodA:titrationusingaburetteandstarchasindicator;?methodB:potentiometrictitrationwithanautomatictitrator.Theiodineadsorptionnumberisrelatedtothesurfaceareaofacarbonblack,andisgenerallyinagreementwiththenitrogensurfacearea.However,itissignificantlydepressedinthepresenceofahighcontentofvolatileorsolvent-extractablematerials;theiodineadsorptionnumberthereforedoesnotalwaysprovideameasureofthespecificsurfaceareaofacarbonblack.Ageingofcarbonblackcanalsoinfluencetheiodinenumber.
