【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheprocedurefordeterminingthepointresistanceduringpenetrationofaconical-shapedpenetrometerasitisadvancedintosubsurfacesoilsatasteadyrate.1.2Thistestmethodisalsousedtodeterminethefrictionalresistanceofacylindricalsleevelocatedbehindtheconicalpointasitisadvancedthroughsubsurfacesoilsatasteadyrate.1.3Thistestmethodappliestofriction-conepenetrometersoftheelectricandelectronictype.Fieldtestsusingmechanical-typepenetrometersarecoveredelsewherebyTestMethodD3441.1.4Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodetermineporewaterpressuresdevelopedduringthepenetration,thustermedpiezocone.Porewaterpressuredissipation,afterapush,canalsobemonitoredforcorrelationtotimerateofconsolidationandpermeability.1.5Additionalsensors,suchasinclinometer,seismicgeophones,resistivity,electricalconductivity,dielectric,andtemperaturesensors,maybeincludedinthepenetrometertoprovideusefulinformation.Theuseofaninclinometerishighlyrecommendedsinceitwillprovideinformationonpotentiallydamagingsituationsduringthesoundingprocess.1.6Conepenetrationtestdatacanbeusedtointerpretsubsurfacestratigraphy,andthroughuseofsitespecificcorrelations,theycanprovidedataonengineeringpropertiesofsoilsintendedforuseindesignandconstructionofearthworksandfoundationsforstructures.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.WithinSection13onCalculations,SIunitsareconsideredthestandard.Othercommonlyusedunitssuchastheinch-poundsystemareshowninbrackets.Thevariousdatareportedshouldbedisplayedinmutuallycompatibleunitsasagreedtobytheclientoruser.Conetipprojectedareaiscommonlyreferredtoinsquarecentimetresforconvenience.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Note1Thistestmethoddoesnotincludehydraulicorpneumaticpenetrometers.However,manyoftheproceduralrequirementshereincouldapplytothosepenetrometers.Also,offshore/marineCPTsystemsmayhaveproceduraldifferencesbecauseofthedifficultiesoftestinginthoseenvironments(forexample,tidalvariations,saltwater,waves).MechanicalCPTsystemsarecoveredunderTestMethodD3441.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
